Energy On Tap - Bioenergy and Biomass Fuel
Special Guest: Mark Cooper, President & CEO of Prairie Clean Energy
Join us as we host Mark Cooper, President & CEO of Prairie Clean (PCE) Energy. Mark will discuss the unique sources of energy that PCE provides, the opportunities available for bioenergy and biomass fuel, and the challenges that accompany it.
About Mark Cooper
Mark Cooper is the President and CEO of Prairie Clean Energy (PCE), a Saskatchewan bioenergy company with a proprietary process to turn un-utilized flax straw into pelletized biomass fuel. The company also has plans for a wood pellet division.
Previously, Mark served as the President and CEO of the Saskatchewan Construction Association, where he represented Saskatchewan’s 9,000+ construction companies. Mark has also served as Director of Policy and Communications for the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association and the governments of Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Mark received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Regina and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Royal Roads University. Mark is a certified negotiator and mediator and a Project Management Professional.
Mark currently sits on the Board of the Regina Food Bank, the Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and the Canadian Construction Association. Mark has previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Government House Foundation, and as a Board member of both the Friends of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and the Al Ritchie Community Association.
Mark and his wife Kimberley, a high school teacher, live in Regina with their fantastic daughter and two high-maintenance dogs. They love to travel, spend time outdoors, and volunteer within their communities.
The session will begin with a brief presentation followed by a Q&A portion. Join us in person or virtually.
